In 2022, I participated with a team of 3 members (including me) in the local competition of robotics (CNR), which was organized by our club mechatronics at ENSA TETOUAN. The competition aimed to challenge teams to build a solar tracker system that directs the solar panels towards the sun.

My Role
As a member of the team, I was responsible for designing the solar tracker system using Blender and Catia v5.
I worked on the overall shape of the project using Blender and then created a detailed model using Catia v5.
Working principle
The solar tracker system we built was based on a simple working principle. The platform on which the solar panel was positioned had four photoresistors that captured the amount of light falling on them.
These photoresistors generated resistive signals, which were then sent to the microcontroller ARDUINO NANO.
The microcontroller analyses these signals and controls the 2 servo motors, which then directed the solar panel towards where the intensity of light was higher.
